Meet Christa:

Christa Patel, LMSW is under the clinical supervision of Lisa Delaplace, LCSW-S. Christa was raised in a rural community near Houston. She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts
from The University of Texas at Austin. Christa enjoyed a few years on the east coast before
returning to Texas for graduate school. She earned her Masters of Social Work degree from The
University of Texas at Arlington in 2016. She began her social work career in the healthcare field
to support patients facing complex medical crises, addictions, chronic illnesses, end of life and
related grief and mental health challenges that accompany these physical conditions.

Combining clinical expertise with lived experience Christa can effectively problem solve with
individuals and couples who have neurodivergence in the home. Christa enjoys serving
individual clients working towards radical acceptance and honoring their own or their child’s
neurodivergent identity. Though the neurodiverse universe is vast, Christa focuses on PDA
(Pathological Demand Avoidance), Autism, ADHD, and Highly Sensitive Persons. Within those
identity groups Christa can assist with anxiety, depression, grief, low self esteem, chronic
illness, PMDD, addiction or problematic habits.

Christa pulls from an eclectic variety of clinical perspectives and trainings to support clients.

Outside of the office Christa enjoys traveling with her family, exploring America’s National Parks
and making crafts.
